Review: Mana2esh El 3am Darweesh

I have been hearing a lot of people raving about Mana2esh El 3am Darweesh for quite a while now. So last week i JUST HAD TO try them… i drove all the way to Hawalli -located right across Qadsiya Clu- parked my car and waited for my order to be taken. Many cars were standing there already. The worker came and informed me that my order will take at least half an hour to make since they are very busy!!! When i ordered only one lonely za3tar man2oosha he agreed to make it in less than 30 minutes.

My verdict of the man2oosha? The base is light, more saj like than fatayer like, and the z3tar was ok. Not much za3tar was placed on the man2oosha, i would have been happier if there was a little bit more za3tar eshdas3wa… did it taste AMA-HZING? no it didn’t to be frank. I can list many other places with better za3tar mana2esh. It was average.

Will i go again? Yes… there is another kind of z3tr mana2esh sold for 600 fils -mine was the 200 fils version- and it might turn out better… also there are several other combinations i would like to try and see… but for a first time there? I wasn’t very impressed…

Did you try mana2esh el 3am darweesh before?! What do you recommend i try next time?

I tried it twice .. The first time was a long time ago! I remember we had a gathering at home and we’ve ordered everything on their menu .. the verdict? well, with their cute menu and great design, I’m afraid that their food didn’t reach half what I’ve expected .. I was disappointed

the second time, we’ve ordered it at work and it came out better but still something is not right .. yet, I can see a potential there .. so I don’t know .. It’s up to you I guess :p

true… their menu is cute o etshaweg o wayed nazek… but the taste lacks something… it’s average at most.
Y3ni if i am to compare it other places i would go to others rather then order from it especially inah it’s always too busy o you wait forever the order…

I think that u should give it a chance and try to order a variety of stuff before you give your final judgment

people in kuwait exaggerate too much.. they turn bad into good and the average into amazing.

that does not only apply to restaurants btw, it applies to everything from fashion to women to even khadem!

zahret dimseshq is pretty decent.. try the one in hawally not salmya.

they are pretty good and their sizes and portions are generous (my fave is fatayer labnah), but then again i am biased because i have been eating their fatayer for +15 yrs fa i have a special bond with them 🙂

sounds like a great idea..you should try mana2esh based on your readers recommendations and then review each and every one of them. that being said, ‘which is the best fatayer in kuwait’ is a sensitive topic.. i have seen guys fight over this!

LooooL i used to think Fatayer 3la il 6ayer were the best… until they went and changed their menu…
By the end of this review i would have gained 50 kilos and i will never finish.. there are like one million fatayer place in Q8 :S
