New from Nespresso: The Palets Amande

I have been a Nespresso fan FOREVER! Whenever i travel abroad i like to visit their stores and look around… being a coffeholic a visit to Nespresso is like my very own Disney Land!

When i was in the  Selfridges, i saw this Nespresso tube and i thought it was some coffee tablets in seasonal packaging… but i was wrong!

I ask the sales lady about them, and she goes  “oh they are AMAZING! They are little almond pastries and we just got them in!” of course that meant i had to try them so i bought a packet for £11.00… i read the label to make sure there is nothing mini minak, o turns out it has three flavors inside… Natural, Caramel, and Coffee…

The Pallets -or pastries- were so yummy and chewy and grainy and almondy… it was like, a mini cake made with refined marzipan with a sugary topping, it is new, it is different, and IT IS REALLY GOOD… i finished a whole packet in one sitting and had to buy more…!

The packet has 16 little palets… and they are just the perfect companion to your steamy cup of espresso…

Sadly i just came back from Nespresso Q8 in 360 and they said they will never bring them here… somethin about the expiry date not being 6 months or so and the shipping time and rate blah blah… anyhow, if you would like to try them, you can check your local Nespresso store or have someone bring them over from the UK… they are REALLY good! and they are here -ehem ok actually there- to stay!

Excuse me while i polish off my stash…

Thanks for this posting. I bought a box of these in Paris at the Nespresso store across from Le Bon Marche and didn’t know what they were. Thought it was at flavour tablet for capucino. We arrived back in Canada Aug 27 and now I have opened the box and we are chewing them up. They are delicious and I’m not a fan of marzipan. Also picked up a set of the hand blown, double wall espresso cups to match then larger cappucino cups we already bought there last year.

Man those stores are fun. This one isn’t as big as the one on Champs Elysees but combined with a visit to Le Bon and it’s gourmet food store it made it a fun side trip.
