The Yummiest Breakfast in Q8 So Far… July 6, 2009

I am giving myself a break from the Dathra Series… which by the way even men should read because they would KNOW how much it takes for girls to look presentable and thank god a million times they were born men….

Anyhoo…

I have lately come across the Best Breakfast, hands Down… in K-town…

or garagat shuwaikh madry il rai more like it…

Believe it or not … it’s in Dean and Deluca…

Now i know some of u like it, o some of u don’t

But im talking about breakfast people… plz leave ur prejudice aside -if u dont like it- o look beyond it’s facade to it’s dishes…

I will show u the pictures first… with commentary… then i will elaborate more… the first few pictures were taken by my nokia camera so the quality bad… the last pictures were taken by my Black Berry camera…

Now let me leave you with the food… then i will talk somemore!

The Continental Breakfast with black coffee... they bring you this huge basket filled with goodies from the bakery...

The basket smells heavenly... it has generous helpings of different kinds of bread, sugary croissant, a yummy sugary cinnamony muffin, and a scone!!!

The scrambled eggs... it was good, o the presentain cool...

The arabian breakfast: just right mini portions of labna, halloum, veggies, pickles, chickpeas and fool... with the softest tastiest just out of the oven white arabian bread in Kuwait!!!! yuuuuumy

Fresh from the oven... the best z3tr fatayer, but very bad cheese fatayer, o ako b3d la7ma, o sabanekh, not pictured lel asaf... you can ask for half and half if u with... be patient though they take a while to bake...

Yummy flakey buttery croissant with freshly squeezed orange juice....

And now… the piece de resistance… drum roll please… the waffles!!!

Fresh Berries... Mascarpone Cream... and Waffles... the BEST in Q8! EVER!

Fresh Juicy Raspberries...

You put a fork through those berries, and their colorful juices seep and mix with the mascarpone cream... and you have a little milkshake party going on in ur plate... and the colors are something else all toghether...

I could barely force my self to put the fork down and take one last picture of the quickly vanishing waffles... bye byeeeee

To say the place is serving fresh food is an understatement… of course it does it has a fresh collection of groceries at hand!

The thing is… it is really really cheap…

Dean and Deluca’s breakfast is served from 9 Am till 2 pm weekends o 1 pm weekdays… u don’t have to get up early to enjoy it…

D&D’s breakfast have recently gone under a makeover… and a very prominant one indeed.

D&D’s coffee is yum. Try their iced coffee thingy whose pictures is on the Menu on the Wall with bits of coffee bean swimming around… and u will know what good coffee is all about…

You should sit outside. Wait for a table outside… or else u will smell like a jm3iya if u sit inside o the fun is all gone.

u will see the whole avenues… lazily walking around.. there is an old guy who always walks on Saturday morning… one day he was walking with all red outfit from top to toe o his short are too short… ‘3otho il nathar if u don’t feel like watching him then…

o u sit… with literally a6ayeb il 6a3am… bs nagesna sharhan mal el sanafer… o its all quiet o serene o peacefull, o every thing around you is drenched in light o white… u feel it’s morning… o u take one heavenly bite after the other…  their smiling prompt service is also amazing… o when the food is too much you can take if for take away and dine all day long in it… and ur check is less than 15 KD!!!!

Im not sure what are you waiting for… but if there was one place worth waking up from ur weekend sleep for… it is Dean & Deluca…
